As we said, this will be one hot property, and for several reasons. Firstly, it’s a condo in a mature estate (read: parents living there, yummy food, fantastic transport network, schools, recreation, etc). Secondly, it’s located just above a shopping mall that’s integrated with the bus interchange. This means you won’t have to lug your shopping up and down feeder buses to get home. And let’s not forget the MRT just next door accesible via the underpass!
Finally, Bedok will be a cool place to live in once more, once all the interchange and mall have been built. Also, the PIE and ECP are within easy access. A word of caution though, you can expect the roads to be pretty jammed up during peak hours.

So with such a great location no wonder there was a giant queue outside the showflat days before it even launched. Why a queue? Because the developer decided to make it a first-come-first served system. So there were plenty of hired help just camping outside the showflat.
‘Why not ballot? Isn’t it a better system?’ you ask. That’s a good question. The only reason we can think of is the publicity generated from folks lining up the steps leading to the showflat. So far it has worked wonders!
It will be pretty packed but who cares? MRT is right downstairs!
Anyway, having a home in such close proximity to an MRT station does not come cheap. Our sources tell us that prices psf range from $1,150 to $1,400 psf. So the cheapest 1-bedder you can get will set you back $630k, while the largest penthouse will cost close to $4m! So if you’re interested, be prepared to pay!
Showflat opens today, we think this will sell out within the end of the week. The property market is so exuberant, even signs of a slowdown next year is not deterring people from owning private property. Where is the strong demand coming from?
